oh vacations!

we're back, very refreshed at that. we had a wonderful relaxing time, i decided to stay another week and get the car fixed. it's as good as new again. oliver and i enjoyed the warm weather going to some of my favourite beaches near my parents house. the lagoon was amazing but i forgot about the constant wind. oliver didn't know which way to turn to escape it. we also explored the downtown and old town of victoria, i think he really liked that, pointing at everything. things have changed so much in downtown victoria, some areas are so vibrant and others have empty storefronts. it's too bad i hope they figure out a solution soon and don't let it die, it's no fun going out to the suburbs to sight-see.
i returned home to my music swap package from cori. thank you so much cori.
she sent me 3 very thoughtful cds; one for me, one for oliver, and one
just because. cori also made me some beautiful handmade pushpins for my
bulletin board, and a very lovely card with a bird on it in my fav colours
of green and blue. i'm a very lucky girl.
i'm going to need a few days to catch up with everybodys blogs. thank you for all your well-wishes about the car accident.
here's a few of my favourite things right now;
flip-flops
honey and calendula moisturizer
my mum's dahl (all 500 variations!)
my grandma playing with oliver
oliver saying turtle
the sun and the warm breeze
neko case
