light at the end of the tunnel...

limited edition archival prints and sewn recycled paper cards at my etsy shop.

i'm really glad i finished these, it was really satisfying crossing them off the list. let me know how you like them.
thank you to mav and grace for mentioning my work. i'm humbled for sure.

home

from the archives, taken a year ago. where did that mohawk go? oliver's hair is now dangerously close to a mullet. yikes!

we are finally settling in here in our new home. lots and lots of laundry done. the weather has been perfect for hanging on the line. here's a peek at a corner of my outside courtyard. the photo was taken yesterday with what was probably the last day of summer-like weather.

today ollie and i woke to blustery winds and rain, and i felt like i could breathe again. i'm allergic to dust and it's been so hard with so little rain this summer. bring on the autumn storms. here you can see i'm all ready with my recycled tire shoes which are lined in the softest fleece, and worn with the softest grey knee socks. i love fall. by far my favourite season.

now for some shocking news.
i read a book! the first book i read for fun since giving birth to oliver 21 months ago. the birth house by canadian ami mckay was riveting. i had to stop myself from reading it in one night. i did it in two sessions. it was wonderful. if you at all are interested in the history of midwifery, life for woman at the turn of the century in a tiny nova scotian seaside town, this is a lovely read. the writer has a great website also, linked below. figures my first book would be an educational one at that.
